Anna Stepanova (pianist)

Anna Stepanova was born in 1988 in Moscow. Her talent was recognized at an early stage and since then, has been completely encouraged.

 

At a very young age, she won several first prizes in piano music competitions. She was a prize winner at the international Mendelssohn Competition in Moscow and the All-Russian Open Competition "Yakov Flier".

 

She received grants from the International Charitable Foundation of Vladimir Spivakov and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and has participated regularly at the Summer Music Festival "New Names in Russia".

 

Anna Stepanova graduated from Gnessins College(2008) and Russian Academy of Music(2013) studying with Professors Rimma Dieva, Marina Drozdova and Inna Malinina. In 2009 she moved to Germany to continue her studies at the Frankfurt University of Music in the master class of Prof. Irina Edelstein and recieved a graduate Diploma in Piano Performance in 2014. She is currently enrolled in a master’s degree program in coaching with Prof. Bernhard Wetz.

 

Irina Edelstein, Bernhard Wetz, Leon Fleisher, Elisabeth Leonskaja paved her artistic imprints. She obtained meaningful guidance as well from master classes in Germany, France, USA( IKIF in New York in 2011,2012 and Washington International Piano Festival 2012) and Russia with Mikhail Voskresensky, Ferenc Rados, Robert Levin, John Perry, Nina Lelchuk, Alexandr Kobrin, Choong Mo Kang, Nikita Fitenko, Helmuth Deutsch, among ot hers.

 

She has performed as soloist and chamber musician in such venues as the Alte Oper Frankfurt, The John F.Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Washington D.C., the Grand Theatre Taiyuan and on the stages of the largest concert halls in Moscow.

She has performed with hr-sinfonieorchester, Sinfonieorchester Giessen, Shanxi Symphony Orchestra.

In 2016, Anna Stepanova received ́Steinway Award ́ and the scholarship from LMN-Yehudi Menuhin foundation.
